This regenerative medical procedure offers breakthrough non-surgical treatment options for people suffering from moderate to severe joint, tendon, ligament, or bone pain due to injury and other orthopedic conditions. We are wanting to offer original stem cell based musculoskeletal practice similar to that being practiced now in the U.S. This procedure is the future of orthopedic injuries in stem cell therapy in terms of research and academic achievements.
This Regenerative Medicine procedure will offer a viable alternative to many who are facing surgery due to injury or are suffering from chronic pain. Patients will experience little to no down time from these procedures and will avoid the painful and lengthy rehab period that usually follows surgery to restore joint strength and mobility.
Good physical quality of life differences in the lives of patients through innovative stem cell and regenerative medicine treatments.
HOW DOES STEM CELL THERAPY WORK?
Stem cells live in all of us – they are the repairmen of the body. The problem is that as we age or get injuries, we sometimes can’t get enough of these repair cells to the injured area. This procedure takes care of that problem by amplifying your body’s natural repair process.
The procedure begins when the doctor thoroughly numbs the back of the hip (PSIS) and takes a small bone marrow sample through a needle. This is different than a bone marrow biospy which can be painful. The sampling procedure used is called a bone marrow aspirate, which is often described by patients as being comfortable.
In addition, some blood is also taken from a vein in your arm. These samples are sent to the Sciences lab which is part of the medical practice. These cells are processed and then re-injected into the area in need of repair using imaging guidance (real time fluoroscopy or musculoskeletal ultrasound using your MRI to plan the injection).
In an ICMS certified lab, trained staff will isolate the mesenchymal stem cells. These cells are then injected back into the body the same day with natural growth factors found in your blood platelets. The goal is to achieve much greater numbers of stem cells than you could muster to the injured area. Whatever cells you have left over can be cryogenically preserved. For much greater detail about the procedure, see the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s).
What makes us different that other same day bone marrow concentrate/stem cell procedures being offered? First, a one size fits all centrifuge to prepare cells is not used, a sophisticated lab that is part of the medical practice. Second, while some practices add platelet rich plasma to their stem cell concentrate, we will use a proprietary “super platelet” mix (with proper permission if givein) by mixing lab prepared PRP (slow release growth factors) and platelet lysate (immediately available growth factors), adult stem cells are able to grow 6-9 times as much as just PRP or platelet lysate alone. What does this mean for you? Our lab tests show that we can get more stem cells to grow with our proceudure when compared to other same day procedures using bone marrow stem cells. This Same Day™ procedure is the power of your stem cells unleashed.
